Power to Change is coming to Manitoba and we invite your church to be part of it. With today's demands on the clergy it is good to be able to participate in a meaningful presentation of the gospel that has the potential to touch the lives of all Manitobans. If you haven't already done so, we invite you to find out how your church can be involved.

This clergy-motivated, church driven saturation campaign was launched in southern British Columbia and northwest Washington state in February 1999, and was repeated in the Maritime provinces in spring 2000 with great success. Campaigns in Northern Alberta and Saskatchewan have just completed and reports indicate excellent responses from these areas and are still continuing. This media saturation effort is designed to come alongside your church as you reach out to the community around you with the Good News of God's love. Starting with a strong prayer base, Power to Change will offer training which will show participants how to follow up interested individuals. Our goal is to present the gospel with a strong personal touch. The campaign will run for four weeks beginning March 19th and culminating on Easter Sunday.

Power to Change commercials and advertisements will feature testimonies of well-known Canadian personalities who have found "power to change" through Jesus Christ. Television will be the prime media form utilized, with spots specifically designed to appeal to the secular, unchurched person. Viewers will be able to find more information by dialing a 1-800 telephone number, or visiting the Power to Change website at www.powertochange.com and responding by e-mail. As well, an excellent booklet, including a CD-ROM will be available to those that respond to the commercials.

Uniting the churches across denominational lines can't help but honour God and bless the church. To quote Rick Warren: "A great commitment to the great commandment and The Great Commission makes a great church!" We are excited about what God is going to do in Manitoba through the Power to Change initiative.
